Past Simple – это про­стое про­шед­шее время, вы­ра­жа­ет од­но­крат­ное дей­ствие в про­шлом. Если действия короткие и происходят друг за другом. V-ed; V(2)	Last week- на прошлой неделе, yesterday -вчера, ago –тому назад , the other day – на днях, in 1998 – в 1998 When? – Когда?Where? – Где?	Yesterday I visited my granny. When did you finish school? We bought a new car the other day.  I stood up and answered the question. – Я встал и ответил на вопрос.
Past Continuous  это про­шед­шее дли­тель­ное время. Если два действия происходили в одно и то же время, длились «параллельно» друг другу. Was/Were +Ving	Yesterday at … o’clock – в … часов - when - while – в то время как	Yesterday at 7 o’clock I was playing football in the yard. My friends were playing football while I was reading my textbook. Мои друзья играли в футбол, пока я читал учебник.
Запомнить! Если одно из действий – длительное, а его прерывает быстрое действие, то длительное выражается в Past Continuous, а быстрое – в Past Simple: We were singing when the teacher came.
Past Perfect – это про­шед­шее время, ко­то­рое опи­сы­ва­ет дей­ствие, за­кон­чив­ше­е­ся к опре­де­лен­но­му мо­мен­ту в про­шлом или про­изо­шед­шее рань­ше дру­го­го дей­ствия в про­шлом. Had +Ved(3)	by … o’clock – к … часам -  by the summer – к лету -  by that (the) time – к тому мо­мен­ту как -  after – после того как -  before – до того как  Наречия: already, yet, ever, never	They had cleaned their room by 7 o’clock.   By the time Mary got to the office, her boss had already left. — К тому времени, когда Мэри приехала в офис, ее начальник уже ушел. We had lived in Paris for 12 years before we moved to America. До переезда в Америку мы прожили в Париже 12 лет.
