TV adverts are called a television commercial, TV commercial, commercial, television spot, TV spot, advert, TV advert or simply an ad) It conveys a message promoting, and aiming to market, a product or service.

 

TV advertising is still one of the most effective ways to create awareness about a product or brand.

Advertising on television allows you to showcase your business, product, or service with a wide audience. You can show viewers how your product or service works and how it’s packaged so prospective customers will know what to look for at the point of sale.

According to estimates, networks like NBC, ABC, Fox, CBS, and CW will earn between $8 billion and $10 billion in ad revenue for primetime viewing in 2021-2022

Advantages of TV advertising

Some of the advantages to advertising your small business on television include the following:

-TV reaches a much larger audience than local newspapers and radio stations, and it does so during a short period of time in one commercial

-It reaches viewers when they’re the most attentive.

-It allows you to convey your message with sight, sound, and motion, which can give your business, product, or service instant credibility.

-It gives you an opportunity to be creative and attach a personality to your business, which can be particularly effective for small businesses that rely on repeat customers.

What Are the Types of TV Advertising?

Some different types of TV advertising are the "Comparison and Unique Personality Property," where the advertiser shows why their product is different, or unique. The "Show Need" advertisement shows the need for a product and the solution. Most medical and pharmaceutical advertisements follow this model. Some other examples include how using a product will cause something interesting to happen (Benefit Causes Story) and using celebrities to drive product interest (called Celebrity Associated Imagery). Some examples of this are Samuel L. Jackson's Capital One spots and William Shatner's many Priceline ads.

Online advertising, also known as online marketing, Internet advertising, digital advertising or web advertising, is a form of marketing and advertising which uses the Internet to promote products and services to audiences and platform users 

Online advertising includes email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, many types of display advertising (including web banner advertising), and mobile advertising. Advertisements are increasingly being delivered via automated software systems operating across multiple websites, media services and platforms, known as programmatic advertising

Advantages of internet advertising

Easy global coverage. Nowadays, people have a habit of searching for information about products and services via search engines like Google, Bing, and others. Internet advertising is a way to demonstrate your offers in front of over 4.3 billion web users around the globe.

Affordable for any budget. According to Seriously Simple Marketing, the minimum cost to reach an audience of 2,000 is three times cheaper than traditional advertising methods, so any company from a small family business to a huge enterprise can utilize online ads and get the most out of their financial resources.

Drives traffic to a website. The more visitors you get to the site, the more potential customers you have, which will result in increased sales. Internet advertising aims to attract users’ attention and send them to your website. The offers displayed in the digital ads should arouse curiosity and give people a good reason for clicking through your site.
