Ребята, сегодня мы познакомимся с очень интересной традицией нашего народа провожать зиму и встречать весну.

Но сначала давайте вспомним, какие еще есть в нашей республике праздники.

3.      Прочитайте текст  « Maslenitsa Traditions in  our country» и ответьте на вопросы. Ответы запишите.

There are  many traditional festivals in our country. One of them is a very  cheerful holiday, Maslenitsa. On Maslenitsa we say goodbye to winter and welcome spring. What are the symbols of Maslenitsa? It is the pancake, or блин (bleen), the symbol of the sun, and a straw Maslenitsa doll. Every day of the week has its special name. The last day of Maslenitsa is the Forgiveness Day. Everybody ask one another for forgiveness. There are  many traditional activities on the Maslenitsa week: people make and eat lots of pancakes with honey, sour cream, mushrooms, Russian jam, have pancake competitions, traditional performances with clowns and characters from Russian fairy tales, snowball fights, sledging,

On the final day people burn this straw doll and jump over bonfires.
